Bill is Retiring (or... refocusing?) !: Bill

Hello friends and family of Bill Blackley:

After nearly 35 years practicing medicine, Bill has decided to hang up his stethoscope and throw himself into "retirement" -- though some folks think Bill will never retire -- he is certain to remain active in many communities in North Carolina and beyond.

This blog is for old friends and new, co-workers, patients, musicians, artists, Boy Scouts, environmental activists, Tarheel basketball fans, family, and all who would like to share a word of congratulations, thanks, a silly Bill story, or a celebration for his years of contribution to his patients, and his community.

Please join us in raising a virtual toast to Bill!

Bill - my brother

When Bruce and I first met you and Sandie, you made us laugh, woke us up, challenged our thinking and created a new appreciation for the harmonica! After Bruce's death, you became my east coast brother, my supporter, a shoulder to lean on - and you still could make me laugh when not much else could. No wonder Molly is so amazing and Will already has a sense of humor! I'm so blessed to have you in my life and love watching you with Will. Retirement will only bring us closer and, for that, I'm grateful and glad. Much love to you,
